In short
- Use the platform honestly: accurate data, no impersonation or fraud.
- Respect confidentiality: do not copy data-room content or circumvent watermarks or access controls.
- Do not offer securities or raise funds from the public through the platform.
- Do not try to extract other users' data, and do not upload malware.
- Breaches lead to graduated action, which you can appeal.
1. Scope
This policy applies to every user and every use of the platform and its services, including AI services and Verified Handover, and forms part of the "Terms of Use".
2. Prohibited Uses
2.1 Unlawful content and conduct
- Posting content that breaks the law or infringes third-party rights, or abusive, inciting or defamatory content.
- Defrauding or attempting to defraud any user.
- Providing misleading or fabricated project data, including monthly metrics.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or claiming a false capacity.
2.2 Regulated financial activities
- Offering securities or shares to the public or inviting subscription through the platform.
- Soliciting funds from the public or organising crowdfunding through the platform.
- Presenting the platform as licensed or as guaranteeing any investment.
2.3 Confidentiality and access controls
- Sharing data-room content in breach of the NDA.
- Attempting to remove, hide or circumvent watermarks.
- Attempting to bypass access controls or view data you are not authorised to see.
- Using contact details you obtained for any purpose other than the one for which they were made available.
2.4 Automated and technical use
- Scraping or automated collection of data by any means.
- Reverse engineering the platform or attempting to extract its source code, to the extent permitted by law.
- Uploading malware or harmful files.
- Testing or exploiting vulnerabilities without prior written permission. You may report vulnerabilities in good faith to support@octasolutions.net.
- Abusing or circumventing quotas, for example by creating multiple accounts.
2.5 AI
- Attempting to use AI tools to extract other users' data or unauthorised project data.
- Attempting to manipulate model instructions to bypass restrictions.
- Using outputs for unlawful purposes.
2.6 Nuisance
- Sending nuisance or repeated messages or requests to founders or sponsors.
- Using the platform to send unsolicited marketing.
2.7 Verified Handover
- Uploading code or assets you have no right to share or sell.
- Deliberately delivering something different from what was inspected.
- Raising vexatious disputes to cause delay.
3. Reporting Breaches
- You can report any breach to legal@octasolutions.net or through in-platform reporting tools where available.
- We review reports impartially and do not disclose the reporter's identity without their consent or unless required by law.
4. Enforcement

- Infringing content may be removed or hidden.
- Graduation may be skipped for serious breaches, such as fraud, data-room leaks or uploading malware.
- We notify you of the action and its reason, unless the law prohibits it or notice would prejudice an ongoing investigation.
- We may report suspected crimes to the competent authorities.
- Subscription or points payments are not refunded on termination for a serious breach, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights. [For review: validity of denying refunds to a user in breach]
